How Do I Get ED Medication?

Getting started is easy with a short online consultation with a licensed provider who specializes in sexual health every day.

Depending on the availability of services in your area, you may choose to start PrEP and ED medications with an online questionnaire; a short, immediate “on demand” video visit; or a pre-scheduled same-day, next-day, evening, or weekend online appointment.

  • If you’re new to Q Care and want ED medication, click the “Get Started” button, answer a few quick questions, and choose the online consultation option that works for you. Currently, ED meds, doxyPEP (for STI prevention), and hair loss treatment medications are only available to patients on PrEP with Q Care.
  • If you’re already a Q Care patient, you can message your provider through your patient portal whenever you feel ready to start the conversation.

After your provider talks with you or reviews your medical history, they will work with you to prescribe the best ED option for you. If ED medication is prescribed, your prescription will be sent to the pharmacy and shipped quickly and discreetly with your PrEP fill or refill, to your door of choice.

How Much Will My ED Prescription Cost?

For insured patients, the provider consultation and labs are free, and PrEP prescriptions are almost always $0. Any out-of-pocket costs for your PrEP, ED, or other prescriptions will depend on your insurance allowances, but they will be reviewed with you by the pharmacy before they are shipped. Absolutely no surprises!

What Causes Erectile Dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction is when getting or keeping an erection is difficult or inconsistent. This can happen for a lot of reasons, including stress, changes in your body, other health conditions, or even medications you may be taking.

Whatever the cause, you’re not alone. Our experienced providers are here to understand, answer questions, and help you find an option that feels right for you! You’ll have 24/7 access to your provider through your patient portal to help you navigate any additional concerns you have along the way.

Important Usage Tips

  • ED medications require that you’re sexually stimulated – otherwise, they do not work.
  • Follow your provider’s and pharmacist’s instructions. Taking more will not speed things up and can result in a sustained erection requiring emergency medical attention.
  • Give it time. Some medications work faster than others.
  • Be open with your provider about other medications you use. Safety always comes first.
  • Important: poppers or nitrates should never be used when taking ED medications, as a dangerous drop in blood pressure may occur requiring urgent medical attention.
  • If something feels off, reach out to your care team. We’re here to help.
