In Partnership With The Health Collective
Founded in 1983, The Health Collective, formerly known as the Hartford Gay and Lesbian Health Collective, is the second-oldest LGBTQIA+ health organization in the State of Connecticut dedicated to providing holistic, wraparound healthcare services to sexual and gender minority communities. We offer a full range of services, including medical care, HIV/STI testing, vaccinations, affirming aesthetics, mental health and psychosocial support services, harm reduction programs, and comprehensive dental care excluding surgical interventions. As a pioneer in LGBTQIA+ health, we were the first organization in Connecticut to provide dental care to people living with HIV and AIDS, setting a precedent for inclusive and compassionate care in the state.
Our mission is to “promote healthy living, provide high-quality, compassionate care, and advocate for systemic solutions to the healthcare access barriers and health disparities faced by sexual and gender minority groups.” Through this mission, we have built a safe, welcoming space where LGBTQIA+ individuals can access the care and support they need. For many in our community, the Health Collective serves as the first point of access to life-changing health services, bridging gaps in care and fostering long-term well-being.
