In Partnership With AIDS Delaware
AIDS Delaware has partnered with Q Care Plus to help individuals across the state get access to PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), a powerful tool for preventing HIV. Together, we are working to remove barriers to care and make HIV prevention easier, more affordable, and more accessible — no matter where you live.
What Is PrEP?
PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is a medication that helps prevent HIV before exposure occurs. When taken as prescribed, PrEP is highly effective at reducing the risk of HIV through sex or injection drug use. PrEP is for people who are HIV-negative and want an added layer of protection. It doesn’t treat HIV, but it gives people more control over their sexual health and peace of mind as part of a broader prevention plan that includes regular testing and ongoing care.
About AIDS Delaware
AIDS Delaware is the state’s first and largest AIDS Service Organization. Founded in 1984 by community activists responding to the early AIDS crisis, the organization has spent more than four decades advancing HIV prevention, care, and support throughout Delaware. Today, AIDS Delaware provides free, confidential HIV testing and prevention services; case management; education and outreach; pharmacy support; food and personal care assistance; and mental health counseling — meeting people where they are and supporting long-term health and stability.
