Dr. Julie Graves is a public health and family medicine physician with QCare Plus. When she got her start in medicine in the 1980’s, HIV/AIDS was just unfolding and all she could offer was comfort and symptom relief. Now she finds joy in providing preventive care and in seeing people living with HIV have good health and quality of life. Dr. Graves is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and the University of Texas School of Public Health and has taught at Georgetown University School of Medicine, Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Texas, and in the Caribbean. She is widely published and has lectured to clinicians across the US and in Africa. Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and by the American Academy of HIV Medicine, she lives in St. Augustine, Florida with her husband, a hospice nurse, and two very good dogs.
